Oh, have one other really dangerous insect out here. Its called the ‘Kissing bug’, or, ‘The Assassin Beetle’. It has a numbing agent on the end of its proboscis so you don’t feel it as it bites you in a tiny circle. It then drinks your blood out of the middle of said circle. The problems arise when its had a meal off some dead infected animal, just prior to biting you. I worked for a fellow who had been bitten by one and was unaware until that night as he was getting on a cruise ship in Frisco. He felt bad, real bad, so, they put him on an ambulance at the pier. Five hours later, he had no teeth. Yep. The docs had to pull them all. Some infection had gotten into his gums and that was all she wrote. Later, they fogged his house, then inspected it. They found a dozen of these bugs dead all over the house. They’re about a half inch long, have an ‘X’ on their closed wings. Are flat, and have a long nose on them. Look them up. Good info to have…
